The market crashed on Friday as the market sensed that the RBI may act and raise interest rates in order to tame inflation. Food inflation is driving finance ministry crazy. With higher crude oil prices in the offing, we expect inflation has no way except to go up. Though government is dreaming to bring inflation below 10 pct, we think in a emerging economy like India where supply is far below the demand it is really tough to bring the inflation down. Global demand for agri commodities is adding fuel to the fire. RBI policy meet this month 25th likely to end up taking aggressive decisions. Where market people are expecting 50-75 basis point hike.
Indian markets are likely to attract some more selling in the first couple of days. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
